The Creative Domination and the five Visa-blue Tramcars equipped with sensors will activate both the lighting effect of the key message and a voice-over by the brand ambassador, Hong Kong’s Olympic champion and Team Visa athlete Edgar Cheung, when the Visa Tramcar arrives at its Tram Shelter.

Visa, a global leader in digital payments, has partnered with Hong Kong Tramways to celebrate Visa’s payment acceptance launch on Hong Kong trams by launching the longest-ever consumer promotion running until 31 December 2023,  tourists from around the world and commuters are encouraged to use Visa’s contactless payment for their tram fare to enjoy a discount of HK$1 for every single ride priced at HK$3.

To unveil Visa contactless payment feature on Hong Kong trams, Visa has launched a creative Tramcar-Tram Shelter Combo campaign. A prominent feature of the campaign is "Tram Shelter – Flagship Domination" located near Hysan Place in the bustling shopping district of Causeway Bay. Attracting attention from a distance, the roof of the shelter showcases a large replica of a Visa card accompanied by a brightly lit message saying “Visa is now accepted on trams” (Visa登陸叮叮).

The Creative Domination and the five Visa-blue Tramcars equipped with sensors will activate both the lighting effect of the key message and a voice-over by the brand ambassador, Hong Kong’s Olympic champion and Team Visa athlete Edgar Cheung, when the Visa Tramcar arrives at its Tram Shelter, showcasing the synergy of Tramcar-Tram Shelter Combo.

Additional Flagship Dominations near Times Square and in Central help raise awareness of the Visa Tap to Pay  – Tram Acceptance Campaign among locals and tourists.
